Here we post stories from, about and relevant to the many organisations and individuals calling for peace.
There are many organisations working in a similar vein to the Olive Network,
sharing stories and content from reliable sources, advocating an earthly truth,
based on ecology and kindness. This platform is an attempt to
help to amplify the myriad efforts of everyone on that path.

ORGANISATIONS AROUND THE GLOBE WHOSE CORE MISSION IS PEACE
DEFEND OUR JURIES

Juries of 12 randomly selected citizens put the moral intuitions of ordinary people at the heart of the criminal justice system. Over the last few years, when juries have heard evidence of why people have taken direct action to advance climate or racial justice, or to stop genocide in Gaza, they have repeatedly reached not guilty verdicts. These verdicts are deeply embarrassing to the government and the arms and oil industries, contradicting the narrative that the public supports the ‘crackdown on protest’. Lobbyists for the arms and oil industries, such as Policy Exchange, embedded within government, have been working to put a stop to them.

War and conflict have always been unjust: Diplomatic decisions are made at a political level, but the consequences are felt by the civilian population. Local peacebuilding approaches aims to reverse this dynamic and strengthen peace processes through local activism.

SUMMARY
'If you asked the adult population within the global population of 7,000,000,000 people if they would like to see their children living in peace or fighting for survival the likelihood is that they would agree that peace is the better option. This platform aims to amplify that sentiment, appealing to the global population to recognise the futility of war and the devastating human suffering it creates.'
